Radiant Heating
Grove Plumbing Installs Complex Systems in Glenangus Home
Northeastern was recently called upon to supply the products for a large
radiant heating system being installed in a Glenangus home in Harford
County.
The home features a large, multi-zoned radiant heating system that was
designed and installed by Radiant Heating Technicians Brian Maccubbin and
Richard Wilson, employees of Grove Plumbing & Heating, Inc., owned by John
Baxter, notes Nelson Prange, Vice President of HVAC Sales Division at
Northeastern Supply.
Nelson and Northeastern Sales Representative Ray Wiland worked closely with
Grove Plumbing to spec the products needed for the job. The home, designed by
builders John Brice and Jeff Dresher of Glenangus Homes, called for radiant
heating both inside the home and under the porches. The heating system features
a Burnham Revolution Boiler, an Ergomax domestic hot water exchanger, and Kitec
tubing manufactured by Kitec Radiation Systems.

Radiant Heating Is Growing in Popularity Across The Country
Homeowners all across North America are changing to radiant floor heating
because it creates a more comfortable living environment. It can reduce heating
costs, consuming up to 30% less energy than a forced air furnace, while reducing
the circulation of dust in the home. The radiant floor system makes every room
warm and inviting. It can be installed directly in slab and basement floors,
staple-up applications, or as a topping pour for tile floors in bathrooms,
kitchens, and foyers. Radiant can be installed throughout the home for primary
home heating or only in select areas to make cool surfaces more comfortable to
the touch.
Radiant systems can be installed in a number of ways to suit individual
project specifications for existing buildings, new construction, or snow melt
systems. Our HVAC team can assist in the specific design you need and help you
with installation guidelines for each type of approach.
