Northeastern Employees Make A Difference
Yard Sale Nets $8,000
For the second consecutive year, employees at Northeastern Supply's Bel Air store donated nearly 50% of the proceeds from their annual yard sale to the Empty Stocking Fund, an organization that collects public and private donations to help local families.
The Bel Air sale was held on Saturday, November 3rd, and featured overstocked and slightly damaged plumbing supplies.
Each year, turnout for the sale has increased and support continues to pour out in terms of resources, volunteered manpower, and other donations.
"We are pleased to be able to give something directly back to families in Harford and Cecil Counties," says Barry Taylor, Bel Air Branch Manager.
"Many families are faced with even greater financial difficulties during the Christmas holiday season.
This event enables us to do our part in helping to make the holidays a little brighter.
There are a lot of people working together to make this sale successful, particularly our warehouse supervisor, Jim Schueler."
The Empty Stocking Fund is a volunteer, not-for-profit organization that was established by Homestead Publishing Company in 1990.
