Northeastern Company History

Founded in 1945, Northeastern Supply had its humble beginnings in a group of converted "row houses" in downtown Baltimore, Maryland.

As the company grew, it hired John H. Cook III in 1964 to run a new branch in Elkton, Maryland. Then in 1972, John purchased the company, and set it on a course of slow, steady, customer-focused growth. Northeastern, through its consistent, controlled, manageable growth, continues to remain committed to:

  • Inventory: What you want, when you want it
  • Single Sourcing: One-stop shopping saves you time and money
  • Convenience: Going the extra mile (e.g., our 24-Hour emergency service)
  • Technology: To fuel efficiency and accuracy

At Northeastern, we believe there is a real value in being a strong independent. We are more responsive to our customers needs with better service and better people.

We are a young-thinking, aggressive company, constantly looking to do better.
